Welcome to Community Learning Champions

Community Learning Champions (CLC) is the umbrella term for volunteers who help adults to learn in their communities. It recognises the unique contribution that volunteers make in enabling others to take part in learning of all kinds. The CLC National Support Programme exists to help ensure that volunteers receive the support they need and are valued in their role.

It provides a wealth of information and resources for community learning volunteers and the staff who support them. The materials on this site have been developed in partnership with many CLC schemes across England. They reflect a wide range of good practice and show the diversity and creativity of the CLC approach. Read more about CLCs.
